How do I use ELEMENT candle sand?
Fill a heatproof container with candle sand to the desired level. Then place a cotton wick in the sand, leaving about 1 cm above the surface. Trim the wick to length if necessary. Light it and enjoy the soft candlelight.
Allow the candle sand to cool completely after use. Once the melted portion has hardened, you can reuse the holder or refill the sand and insert a new wick.
How much candle sand do I use each time?
That's up to you. Fill your bowl or holder as much as you like. It's important that the wick is firmly in the sand and protrudes well above the surface. Want a longer or more intense burn? Add more wicks.
Which holders are suitable?
You can use virtually any heat-resistant container—think glass, ceramic, stone, or metal. As long as the surface is stable and flat, ELEMENT will conform to any shape.
Can I add scents to the candle sand?
Yes, our candle sand is unscented and specially designed for a personal fragrance experience. Add a few drops of essential oil, or choose one of our carefully crafted ELEMENT fragrances for a subtle, natural ambiance.

Is it safe to use ELEMENT candle sand indoors?
Yes, our candle sand is designed with safety in mind and is suitable for indoor use. Always use a stable, heat-resistant container and place the product on a flat, non-flammable surface. Never leave candle flames unattended.
Does the candle sand leave soot or smoke?
No, ELEMENT burns cleanly. The candle sand is made from natural, plant-based ingredients that don't leave soot or black residue. You enjoy a bright light without pollution or odor.
What are the fuses made of?
Our wicks are made of unbleached cotton and contain no metal cores or synthetic materials. They are coated with a thin layer of vegetable wax. This ensures the wick stays firmly in the sand, is easy to light, and burns evenly. This creates a calm, steady flame that suits the ELEMENT ritual.
How do I know if my holder is suitable?
Always use a heat-resistant container, such as glass, ceramic, metal, or natural stone. Avoid plastic or lightweight materials. Choose a sturdy container that is stable and heat-resistant.
Safety & quality
When will my order be delivered?
Order before 10 PM, and your order will be processed the same day, and you'll usually receive your ELEMENT package the next day (within the Netherlands and Belgium).
What are the shipping costs?
For orders over €25, shipping is free within the Netherlands and Belgium. For orders below that amount, you'll pay a flat, low rate that's automatically displayed at checkout.
Do you also ship abroad?
Not yet. Currently, we only ship within the Netherlands and Belgium. We're working on making ELEMENT available internationally soon.

Is the product sustainable?
Yes, sustainability is at the heart of ELEMENT. Our candle sand is made from 100% plant-based, biodegradable ingredients and burns cleanly—no soot, no paraffin, and no harmful substances.
Because you pour the sand directly into a heat-resistant container and use a removable wick, there are no burnt-on residues or stuck-on wax. You create light without the mess – stylish, clean, and mindful.
What makes ELEMENT more sustainable than regular candles?
With traditional candles, you often end up with leftover wax or empty glass jars. ELEMENT prevents that. You only use what you need: sand and a wick. Everything else is refillable or reusable. No waste, no unnecessary packaging.
Are the ingredients and packaging environmentally friendly?
The candle sand is completely plant-based, vegan, and free of harmful substances. The starter kit comes in packaging made of recycled and recyclable paper and cardboard.
The refill bags are made of thin, protective plastic – a conscious choice to protect the sand from moisture and damage during transport. We use as little material as possible and are working on a more sustainable alternative that is just as functional.
